This week, Broadway Direct gave you an insight into how Rock of Ages has been transporting people back to the 1980s for the last five years. So, we thought we'd do the same for #TGIFTunes. The 1980s brought us some of the most popular shows in Broadway history - Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, Cats, Sunday in the Park with George, and La Cage Aux Folles, just to name a few.
However, we thought we would bring you some lesser known shows that made their debut in the 80s. The Tap Dance Kid, Sarafina, Oil City Symphony, and Nine (which was featured in this week's #ThrowBackThursday) are just some of the great shows featured in this playlist. So put on your leg warmers and take yourself back to the awesome 80s! You might even think the music is coming through the headphones of your radical new Walkman!
