Jordan Fisher, currently playing the role of Anthony in Sweeney Todd, revealed today on social media that he will play his final performance in the hit Broadway revival later this month. Fisher will take his final bow at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre on June 18, 2023. His replacement has yet to be announced.
On June 18, I’ll be hanging up my Anthony hat and bidding farewell to this dark and twisted world that is Sweeney Todd which has become my home. It’s been an honor to be part of this production and I thank you all for the unforgettable memories! 🔪 pic.twitter.com/EdI1LBCPip

In addition to Fisher, Sweeney Todd currently stars 2023 Tony nominees Josh Groban and Annaleigh Ashford as Sweeney Todd and Mrs. Lovett, respectively, alongside Gaten Matarazzo as Tobias, Tony Award winner Ruthie Ann Miles as Beggar Woman, Maria Bilbao as Johanna, Jamie Jackson as Judge Turpin, John Rapson as Beadle Bamford, Nicholas Christopher as Pirelli/Standby for Sweeney Todd, and Jeanna de Waal as Standby for Mrs. Lovett and Beggar Woman.
For the first time since 1980, Broadway audiences will experience Stephen Sondheim’s Tony Award-winning score as it was performed in the original production—with Jonathan Tunick’s original 26-player orchestration on an epic scale. Tony Award-winning director Thomas Kail helms the return of this musical thriller with Tony winner Alex Lacamoire serving as Music Supervisor and choreography by Olivier Award winner Steven Hoggett.
