Purlie Victorious Tickets & Information

Tony & Grammy Award winner and Emmy & Academy Award nominee Leslie Odom, Jr. returns to Broadway for the first time since his powerhouse performance as Aaron Burr in Hamilton. Under the direction of Tony-winning director and producer Kenny Leon (Topdog/UnderdogFencesA Raisin in the Sun), Odom, Jr. stars in the first-ever revival of PURLIE VICTORIOUS: A NON-CONFEDERATE ROMP THROUGH THE COTTON PATCH. Written by and originally starring the legendary Ossie Davis, this “marvelously exhilarating” (The New York Times) hit comedy “filled with laughter” (The Wall Street Journal) begins this September.

A charismatic preacher (Odom, Jr.) aims to take back what’s his and free his people from a diabolical overseer. But if there’s one person who can win—and have a good time doing it—it’s the man with the last name Victorious. This hilariously funny play spins the tallest of tales that will keep you laughing from its opening moments to its inspiring end.
