About This Theatre

The renowned performing arts complex in the heart of the theatre district, which has served as the home of Tony Award®-winning, Guinness World Record-setting, and Pulitzer Prize-earning shows. Providing world-class entertainment in an intimate environment on the site of lively Worldwide Plaza, the five stages are centered on an expansive common lobby where you can mingle with a cocktail, enjoy a gallery featuring artist Ken Fallin, and connect with fellow theatre-goers to discover the variety of theatrical offerings at New World Stages.

Policies

Doors Open
Doors open 30 minutes before curtain. Performances begin promptly. Latecomers will be seated at the discretion of management.

No Recording
The use of cameras, cell phones, and other recording devices during the show is strictly prohibited by law, except when used for accessibility services.


Amenities

Restrooms and Water Fountain
All restrooms are wheelchair accessible via the elevator. Restrooms are on the Orchestra and Mezzanine levels. Gender diversity is welcome here. Please use the restroom that best fits your identity or expression. Water fountains are next to the restrooms.

Entering the Theatre
There are no steps to the box office.

Getting to Your Seat
There is an elevator and an escalator in this theatre.
Please Note: Both the upper and lower 49 Street escalators are not in service at this time.

Orchestra (first level)
The Orchestra is down two flights of stairs. The Orchestra has no steps.
There are 10 wheelchair locations: P101, P102, P103, P104, P105, P106, P107, P108, P109, P110
There are 4 transfer locations: B124, D101, G101, N10

Mezzanine (second level)
The Mezzanine is down 1 flight of stairs. The entrance to the Mezzanine is behind row D of the Mezzanine. There are approximately 2 steps between each row with a handrail on each step.
There are 2 wheelchair locations: D17, D18
There is 1 transfer location: D2
