Noah Galvin to Join Waitress

Broadway’s second Evan Hansen and recent cast member of Off-Broadway’s Alice By Heart, Noah Galvin, will be joining the Broadway production of Waitress. He will play the role of Ogie, joining the show on April 29, 2019. Caitlin Houlihan (Girl From the North Country)  will return to the role Dawn on the same day. Eddie Jemison and Lenne Klingaman will play their final performances as Ogie and Dawn respectively on Sunday, April 28.

Noah Galvin gained national attention playing Kenny O’Neal, a gay, Catholic teenager coming into his own on the ABC situation comedy The Real O’Neals. On Broadway, he succeed Tony-winner Ben Platt playing the title character in the hit musical Dear Evan Hansen. Off-Broadway he portrayed a variety of characters in Duncan Sheik and Steven Sater’s new take on Alice in Wonderland, Alice By Heart. Film roles include the upcoming Booksmart and Assassination Nation.

Caitlin Houlihan returns to the role of Dawn after recently performing in Girl From the North Country at the Public Theatre where she sang the music of Bob Dylan. TV and film audiences will recognize her from Peter Pan Live! and Girls. Other recent work: Bridges of Madison County (1st National Tour), Parade (Lincoln Center), The 25th Annual Putnam CountySpelling Bee (Bucks Co. Playhouse), and The Theory of Relativity (Goodspeed).

“Waitress tells the story of Jenna, a waitress and expert pie-maker who dreams of a way out of her small town and rocky marriage. Pouring her heart into her pies, she crafts desserts that mirror her topsy-turvy life such as “​The Key (Lime) to Happiness Pie” and “Betrayed By My Eggs Pie.” When a baking contest in a nearby county — and a satisfying run-in with someone new — show Jenna a chance at a fresh start, she must find the courage to seize it. Change is on the menu, as long as Jenna can write her own perfectly personal recipe for happiness.”

The current cast of Waitress features Shoshana Bean, Charity Angel Dawson, Lenne Klingaman, Jeremy Jordan, Ben Thompson, Larry Marshall, Benny Elledge, Eddie Jemison, Melody A. Betts, Tyrone Davis Jr., Andrew Fitch, Molly Hager, Jessie Hooker-Bailey, Arica Jackson, Molly Jobe, Brandon Kalm, Matt Kumangai, Tess Murphy, Everleigh Rotunno, Stephanie Torns, and Dan Tracy.

Waitress opened at Broadway’s Brooks Atkinson Theatre on April 24, 2016 featuring a score by Sara Bareilles and a book by Jessie Nelson. The musical is adapted from the 2007 motion picture written by Adrienne Shelly. Diane Paulus directs and choreography is by Lorin Latarro.
