As the musical says, “real big news!” It has been announced today that Paradestarring Tony Award winner Ben Platt and Micaela Diamond will open on Broadway next month at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre.
The revival originated at New York City Center this past fall and is directed by two-time Tony Award nominee Michael Arden. Parade, with a book by two-time Tony Award winner, Pulitzer Prize winner, and Academy Award winner Alfred Uhry, music and lyrics by three-time Tony Award winner Jason Robert Brown, and co-conceived by 21-time Tony Award-winning legend Harold Prince, will begin performances February 21, 2023, ahead of an official opening March 16, 2023. The strictly limited engagement will play through Sunday, August 6 only.
Reprising their roles from the production at City Center, Platt will play Leo Frank with Diamond taking on the role of Lucille Frank. Additional casting will be announced soon.
