Erich Bergen, who made his Broadway debut last year in the Broadway musical Waitress, will return to the hit show as Dr. Pomatter on June 4. Bergen succeeds Jeremy Jordan who will play his final performance at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre on June 2, 2019.
Erich Bergen will be best-known to TV audiences for his six seasons on the CBS political drama Madam Secretary, which will begin its 6th and finals season this fall. He played Bob Gaudio in the film version of Jersey Boys, reprising the role after touring in it.
Waitress currently stars Shoshana Bean, Charity Angel Dawson, Caitlin Houlahan, Jeremy Jordan, Ben Thompson, Larry Marshall, Benny Elledge, Noah Galvin, Melody A.
