As a trusted ticketing source for Broadway and Off-Broadway shows, Broadway Direct proudly offers Group Sales to ensure that your theatre plans with friends and family go off without a hitch. Learn more about Group Sales below, from how to order group tickets to securing special perks and vouchers at your show.

How many tickets do I need to buy to get group tickets?

Group minimums vary by show. Most productions start at 10 tickets. For the most accurate minimum, please check the individual show page

How do I place an order for group tickets?

It’s simple: select your show, click “Book a Group,” and complete the short request form. A Broadway Direct Group Sales Agent will follow up within one business day to confirm details, check availability, and guide you through next steps. Prefer to speak with someone? Call us at 212-840-3890. Browse current and upcoming shows for groups here.

What are some of the pros of getting group tickets?

Group tickets make all aspects of going to a show easier. Want to add snack and drink vouchers to smooth out the pre-show and intermission process? We can do that for you. We can even brand them with your logo if you’d like!

How do I purchase vouchers?

When submitting your request, let us know that you would like to add on snack and drink vouchers and we’ll send you our menu of options. Note that we can only offer vouchers for shows in the nine theaters owned by Nederlander (including the Gershwin Theatre, the Lena Horne Theatre, the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, the Marquis Theatre, the Minskoff Theatre, the Nederlander Theatre, the Palace Theatre, the Richard Rodgers Theatre, and the Neil Simon Theatre) and Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, which allows groups to pre-purchase packages of butterbeer, popcorn, and chocolate frogs.

Where are the seats for group tickets?

Group seating can be available in a range of sections throughout the theatre, including premium locations when offered. We can also accommodate accessible seating requests within your group—just let us know your needs when submitting your request so we can plan accordingly. Check out our Broadway seating guide here.

How do I pay for group tickets?

Once your request is approved by the box office, we’ll send you an invoice and a credit card payment link to which you can securely submit payment no later than the listed due date. Groups will be given one week for each month of advance reservation to pay in full (e.g. an order placed on May 1st for July 1st is an advance booking of two months, and therefore must be paid within two weeks of order confirmation). Payment due dates are subject to change at the sole discretion of the box office.

How do I pick up group tickets and vouchers?

Your tickets can either be sent to you by email, mailed to you, or picked up at the box office under your group leader’s name. Your vouchers can either be mailed to you, picked up at the box office under your group leader’s name, or dropped off at your office, if you’re local. You can then use these vouchers to purchase your snacks at the concession stands in the theatre.

How can I make my group’s Broadway experience more educational?

Broadway Direct offers study guides for school trips and student groups. Explore shows with strong historical, moral, and social themes, and view activities and prompts that support learning goals across ELA, Social Studies, and Theatre. You can easily bring these lessons straight from the stage to the classroom!

What are some common dos and don’ts for going to the theatre?

Broadway Day-of Checklist
  • Photo ID Required

Bring a government-issued ID for will-call pickup and age-restricted venues.
  • Digital Tickets Ready

Screenshot your tickets or have your email pulled up- the lobby can have spotty signal.
  • Arrive 30–45 Minutes Early

Security lines and coat check can run long on weekend evenings and holidays.
  • Bag Policy: Clutch-Sized

Most Broadway theatres only allow bags smaller than 9" × 5". Check your show's policy.
  • Skip the Car

Midtown traffic is brutal on show nights. We recommend taking the subway or walking if you're able.
  • Grab Your Playbill

Free at the door. Cast bios, historical notes, and sponsor info- worth reading!

Latecomers Policy: Broadway theatres typically hold latecomers until a suitable break. For some shows, that could mean waiting until Act II.

What Others Thought of Us

“The voucher process was easy and handled with care by the client services team. Not only did they get our large group drinks efficiently and painlessly, but the client services team also edited the show’s logo on our vouchers to our group chat name, which added a wonderful and fun personal touch to the experience! Would highly recommend looking into vouchers if you are coming in with a large group or with anyone who has never been to a show. Having everything prepaid made this such a quick, smooth process even with the long bar line!”
