A reprise is a repeated passage in music, and oftentimes used to bring back a song previously heard in the show. Reprises are generally shorter than their first introduction in the show, and can sometimes feature changed lyrics and shortened music to reflect the development of the story.
From Hamilton’s “The Story of Tonight (Reprise),” to Next To Normal’s “I’m Alive (Reprise),” these short songs are sure to remind you of an earlier time.
