National Hispanic Heritage Month has landed on Broadway! Starting September 15, we give recognition to Hispanic and Latinx communities and their impact on and contributions to history and culture. As part of amplifying the mark Hispanic and Latinx people have made on Broadway, here are five of the many celebrated actors on stage now.

Bianca Marroquín
Marroquín is the first Mexican actress to star in a Broadway show. She made her Broadway debut as Roxie Hart in Chicago in 2002. Other previous Broadway credits include In the Heights and The Pajama Game. You can see her now as Velma Kelly in Chicago.

Florencia Cuenca
Cuenca is the first Mexican immigrant to originate a leading role on Broadway before becoming a U.S. citizen. She made her Broadway debut as Estela in Real Women Have Curves this past spring.

Caesar Samayoa
Samayoa is a Guatemalan actor best known for his role as a member of the original Broadway cast of Come From Away. His previous Broadway credits include roles in How to Dance in Ohio, Sister Act, The Pee Wee Herman Show, and Hot Feet. He currently plays the role of Don Kirshner and Others in Just In Time.

Krystal Hernandez
Hernandez is a Puerto Rican actress who made her Broadway debut in SIX, reprising her role from the Canadian production as Anna of Cleves, who she continues to play on Broadway today. She received her bacherlor’s in fine arts from Salem State University.

David Guzman
Guzman is a Latinx actor and twin of fellow Broadway actor Jacob Guzman. The pair gained notoriety in the early 2010s making their simultaneous Broadway debuts in Newsies. He is the current John Laurens/Philip Hamilton in Hamilton.
