First Look: Julie Benko Stars as Fanny Brice in Funny Girl on Broadway

There’s a new Fanny Brice taking center stage at the August Wilson Theatre. Julie Benko stars as the leading lady in Funny Girl through September 4, taking over from Beanie Feldstein who played her final performance on July 31. As previously announced, Lea Michele will star as Fanny Brice beginning next month, with Benko playing the role every Thursday beginning September 8, 2022.

Currently, Benko leads a cast that includes Tony and Olivier Award nominee Ramin Karimloo as Nick Arnstein, five-time Emmy Award winner Jane Lynch as Mrs. Rosie Brice, Jeff Award winner and Tony Nominee Jared Grimes as Eddie Ryan, Peter Francis James as Florenz Ziegfeld, Ephie Aardema as Emma/Mrs. Nadler, Debra Cardona as Mrs. Meeker, Toni DiBuono as Mrs. Strakosh, and Martin Moran as Tom Keeney.
