Lea Michele begins her run as Fanny Brice in the revival of Funny Girl next month and the Emmy-nominated star has hit the rehearsal studio. Check out photos of her rehearsing with Tovah Feldshuh below and hear her belt out “I’m the Greatest Star” here.
Michele will join the cast of Funny Girl on September 6, alongside Feldshuh who will be playing Rose Brice. Currently, Julie Benko, who will perform as Fanny Brice Thursdays once Michele joins, leads a cast that includes Tony and Olivier Award nominee Ramin Karimloo as Nick Arnstein, Jeff Award winner and Tony Nominee Jared Grimes as Eddie Ryan, Liz McCartney as Rose Brice Peter Francis James as Florenz Ziegfeld, Ephie Aardema as Emma/Mrs. Nadler, Debra Cardona as Mrs. Meeker, Toni DiBuono as Mrs. Strakosh, and Martin Moran as Tom Keeney.
