Full Casting Announced for The Prom National Tour

It’s time to build a prom all across America! The national tour of The Prom is preparing to take the country by storm and has just revealed who will be starring in the show.

Kaden Kearney (they/them) will star as Emma, Kalyn West (she/her) as Alyssa Greene, Courtney Balan (she/her) as Dee Dee Allen, Patrick Wetzel (he/him) as Barry Glickman, Emily Borromeo (she/her) as Angie Dickinson, Bud Weber (he/him) as Trent Oliver, Sinclair Mitchell (he/him) as Mr. Hawkins Ashanti J’Aria (she/her) as Mrs. Greene, and Shavey Brown (he/him) as Sheldon Saperstein.

Rounding out the ensemble are Jordan Alexander (he/him), Gabrielle Beckford (she/her), Ashley Bruce (she/her), Olivia Rose Cece (she/her), Maurice Dawkins (he/him), Jordan De Leon (he/him), Shawn Alynda Fisher (she/her), James Caleb Grice (he/him), Megan Grosso (she/her), Chloe Rae Kehm (she/her), Braden Allen King (he/him), Brandon J. Large (he/him), Christopher McCrewell (he/him), Adriana Negron (she/her), Lexie Plath (she/her), Brittany Nicole Williams (she/her), Thad Turner Wilson (he/him), and Josh Zacher (he/him).

The hilarious hit Broadway musical comedy, which won the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Musical, will run technical rehearsals at the Carson Center in Paducah, KY before officially launching at Playhouse Square in Cleveland, OH on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, followed by a multi-season tour that will visit more than 20 cities in the 2021-22 season, including a stop at Chicago’s Cadillac Palace Theatre.

The Prom, Broadway’s new musical comedy—with issues—follows four Broadway stars on a hilarious mission to change the world and get a little publicity for themselves. So when they hear that trouble is brewing around a small-town Indiana prom—and the press is involved—they know that it’s time to put a spotlight on the issue…and themselves. The town’s parents want to keep the dance on the straight and narrow—but when one student just wants to bring her girlfriend to prom, the entire town has a date with destiny. Now, Broadway’s brassiest are coming to join the fight and they are ready to kick-ball-change the world.

The Prom features direction and choreography by Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw (Mean Girls, The Book of Mormon), a book by Tony Award winner Bob Martin (The Drowsy Chaperone) and Tony Award nominee Chad Beguelin (Aladdin), music by Tony Award nominee Matthew Sklar (Elf) and lyrics by Tony Award nominee Chad Beguelin.
