How to Watch the 2022 Tony Awards

The Tony Awards are back and this year the ceremony is returning to its frequent home, Radio City Music Hall, taking place on Sunday, June 12, 2022. Similar to last year’s ceremony, the Tonys will be a multi-platform television event and we’re here to help you navigate the best way to view the must-see theater celebration.

The celebration will commence at 7 p.m. EST/4 p.m. PST with The Tony Awards: Act One, one hour of exclusive content streaming live, only on Paramount+. Darren Criss and Julianne Hough will kick off the evening celebrating the 2022 Tony Awards, bestowing multiple awards and introducing special performances throughout the exciting hour of programming.

The presentation of the American Theatre Wing’s 75th Annual Tony Awards, hosted by Academy Award winner and Tony nominee Ariana DeBose, will air from 8 p.m.–11 p.m. Live EST/5 p.m.–8 p.m. Live PST on the CBS Television Network, and streaming live and on demand on Paramount+. For the first time, the Tonys will be broadcast live coast to coast.

Tony Awards night begins at 7 p.m. EST and as mentioned, the first hour will stream exclusively on Paramount+. Don’t have Paramount+? Now is the time! While a subscription can cost money, a one-week free trial is available to new members. With this, you will not only have access to the Tony Awards at 7 p.m. EST but also the live awards ceremony which begins at 8 p.m. EST. This is the best option to be able to get all the Tonys content you desire, all in one place.

While you can only view The Tony Awards: Act One on Paramount+, you can access the official awards ceremony airing on CBS through live TV streaming services such as Hulu + Live TV and YouTube TV, both offering free trials.
