From news of a cast recording to interviews with the stars, the revival of Into the Woods is all the rage this summer on Broadway. To top it all off, it was announced today that the limited engagement of the beloved Stephen Sondheim classic has been extended through October 16, 2022.
The revival was originally set to close on August 21, 2022. Casting for the extension will be announced shortly.

New York City Center Encores! production of James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim’s beloved musical, Into the Woods, began Tuesday, June 28 at the St. James Theatre, ahead of an official opening night on July 10. Into the Woods is directed by Lear deBessonet, with music direction by Rob Berman with The Encores! Orchestra, and choreographed by Lorin Latarro. This production is dedicated to the memory of Stephen Sondheim.
