Jessica Lee Goldyn to Succeed Robyn Hurder in Moulin Rouge! The Musical

This Tony Award-winning musical is welcoming a new face to the Al Hirschfeld Theatre. Jessica Lee Goldyn will join the company of Moulin Rouge! The Musical on February 22, 2022, in the role of Nini. She takes over the role from Robyn Hurder, who earned a Tony Award nomination for originating the role. Hurder departs the production following an over four-year journey with Moulin Rouge! The Musical that began during the show’s early development in 2017 and will play her final performance on February 20, 2022.

Jessica Lee Goldyn has appeared on Broadway in A Chorus Line, Finding Neverland, Tuck Everlasting, Hello, Dolly! and on tour in Fosse. She’s appeared on TV in Smash and in the film Every Little Step.

Goldyn joins a cast that is led by Natalie Mendoza as Satine, Tony Award winner Aaron Tveit as Christian, Eric Anderson as Harold Zidler, Tony and Olivier Award nominee Sahr Ngaujah as Toulouse-Lautrec, Tam Mutu as The Duke of Monroth, and Ricky Rojas as Santiago.

Moulin Rouge! The Musical opened to critical acclaim at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre in the summer of 2019 and reopened in September 2021 following the shutdown of Broadway due to the pandemic.

The musical is directed by Tony Award winner Alex Timbers and with a book by Tony Award winner John Logan, choreography by Tony Award winner Sonya Tayeh and music supervision, orchestrations and arrangements by Tony Award winner Justin Levine.

Baz Luhrmann’s iconic film comes to life onstage, remixed in a new musical mash-up extravaganza. The winner of 10 Tony Awards including Best Musical, Moulin Rouge! The Musical is a theatrical celebration of Truth, Beauty, Freedom, and – above all – Love. Moulin Rouge! The Musical is more than a musical; it is a state of mind.
