Katharine McPhee Foster and Jeremy Jordan took to Instagram with a socially-distanced duet of “You Matter to Me” from Waitress. Both McPhee Foster and Jordan were previously part of the Waitress cast. McPhee Foster played the lead role, Jenna, from April 10 through August 19, 2018, and then again from November 25, 2019, until the show’s final performance on January 5, 2020. Jeremy Jordan played the role of Dr. Pomatter from April 8 to May 12, 2019. The pair also co-starred in NBC’s SMASH back in 2013.
The song was posted in support of all of the people who are working to keep our country safe, as well as those who are struggling during these difficult times.
