Lempicka Sets Closing Date on Broadway

Limited time remains to catch this new Broadway musical. Lempicka, which officially opened on Broadway on April 14, 2024, will close on Broadway later this month. The musical will play its final performance on Sunday, May 19, 2024.

In a statement, the producers of Lempicka said, “We are so proud of our production and the family of artists and artisans who’ve shaped it. Few knew better than Tamara de Lempicka that art isn’t easy but always worth the effort.”

Earlier this week, Lempicka received three Tony nominations, including one for its star Eden Espinosa.

In addition to Espinosa as Tamara de Lempicka, the cast includes 2024 Tony Award nominee Amber Iman, Andrew Samonsky as Tadeusz Lempicki, George Abud as Marinetti, Natalie Joy Johnson as Suzy Solidor, Zoe Glick as Kizette, Nathaniel Stampley as the Baron, and Beth Leavel as the Baroness with Mariand Torres, Alex Aquilino, Lauren Blackman, Stephen Brower, Kyle Brown, Holli’ Conway, Abby Matsusaka, Jimin Moon, Khori Michelle Petinaud, Ximone Rose, Nicholas Ward, Veronica Fiaoni, Mary Page Nance, Julio Rey, and Michael Milkanin rounding out the company.

Spanning decades of political and personal turmoil and told through a thrilling, pop-infused score, Lempicka boldly explores the contradictions of a world in crisis, a woman ahead of her era, and an artist whose time has finally come. The production is playing its final weeks on Broadway at the Longacre Theatre.
