The Magic Begins for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child

For those of you eagerly anticipating the arrival of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child from the West End, it has been announced that tickets for the award-winning production will go on sale on October 18, 2017. Tickets will be sold exclusively via Ticketmaster Verified Fan, to those who have registered and received a unique Access Code. Registration will open on Sunday, October 1, 2017 at 10:00 AM ET and close on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at 10:00 PM ET. In an effort to reach all who are interested in seeing the two-part play, over 300 seats throughout the theater at each performance priced at $40 or under per part, including 150 seats at $20 per part.

“Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is the eighth story in the Harry Potter series and the first official Harry Potter story to be presented on stage. The critically acclaimed production received its world premiere in July 2016 at the Palace Theatre in London where it continues to play to sold-out houses.” The play has won 22 major theatre awards in the UK and is the most awarded production in the history of Britain’s Olivier Awards, winning a record-breaking nine awards earlier this year including Best New Play and Best Director.

Beginning previews on March 16, 2018 at Broadway’s fully renovated Lyric Theatre, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will officially open on April 22, 2018.  Based on an original new story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is a new play by Jack Thorne, directed by John Tiffany. Presented in two parts that are intended to be seen in order on the same day (matinee and evening) or on two consecutive evenings, Parts One and Two compose the “eighth story in the Harry Potter series and the first official Harry Potter story to be presented on stage.”
