Operation Mincemeat on Broadway — Here’s What We Know

After entering a third sold-out year in the West End, the highly-anticipated production Operation Mincemeat is now performing on Broadway. More information, including a theatre and dates, has now been confirmed.

Operation Mincemeat began preview performances on Saturday, February 15, 2025, and celebrated opening night on Thursday, March 20. Operation Mincemeat will play a limited engagement through February 15, 2026.

The cast features David Cumming, Claire-Marie Hall, Natasha Hodgson, Olivier Award winner Jak Malone, and Zoë Roberts, who will reprise their original acclaimed West End performances for the musical’s Broadway premiere this spring. They are joined by understudies Brandon Contreras, Sam Hartley, Jessi Kirtley, Gerianne Pérez, and Amanda Jill Robinson.

What is Operation Mincemeat about?

It’s 1943, and the Allied Forces are on the ropes. Luckily, they’ve got a trick up their sleeve. Well, not up their sleeve, per se, but rather inside the pocket of a stolen corpse. Equal parts farce, thriller, and Ian Fleming-style spy caper (with an assist from Mr. Fleming himself), Operation Mincemeat tells the wildly improbable and hilarious true story of the covert operation that turned the tide of WWII.

Who is on the creative team of Operation Mincemeat?

The debut musical is written and composed by the comedy group, SpitLip, featuring David Cumming, Felix Hagan, Natasha Hodgson and Zoë Roberts. The creative team will include Olivier Award nominee Jenny Arnold (choreography), Olivier Award nominee Ben Stones (set & costume design), Tony and Olivier Award-winner Mark Henderson (lighting design), Tony Award nominee Mike Walker (sound design), Tony Award nominee Steve Sidwell (orchestrations), Olivier Award nominee Joe Bunker (music direction & supervision), Karen Moore (production stage manager), and Carrie Gardner (casting director).
