Everybody look around—there’s reason to rejoice! For the first time in decades, Tony Award®-winning Best Musical The Wiz returns home to the Broadway stage with a brand new adaptation.

Director Schele Williams (The Notebook, Disney’s Aida) conjures an Oz unlike any you’ve seen before with a creative that includes choreographer JaQuel Knight (Beyonce’s “Single Ladies”), William F. Brown (book), Charlie Smalls (music & lyrics), Amber Ruffin (additional material), Joseph Joubert (music supervision, orchestrations, & music arrangements), and Allen Rene Louis (vocal & music arrangements). They are joined by Academy Award®️ winner Hannah Beachler (scenic design), Daniel Brodie (projections), John Weston (sound), two-time Academy Award®️ nominee Sharen Davis (costumes), Barrymore Award winner Ryan J. O’Gara (lighting), Charles G. LaPointe (wigs), and Kirk Cambridge-Del Pesche (makeup).

Policy for our Patrons With Disabilities

Accessible seating is available for this performance as indicated on the seating map.

Wheelchair locations are available in the orchestra section of the theatre (pending availability). You may purchase one wheelchair and three companion seats per order if available.

Devices and captioning for The Wiz will be available later this spring.

For guests with limited mobility, there are seats available with movable/folding armrests (“Aisle transfer seats”) in these locations: Orchestra A1, A2, F17, F18, K1, K2, P101, P125, S27, S28, T1, T2; Mezzanine K33, K34, L1, L2.

The theatre aisles on the orchestra level are stepped instead of ramped. There are 22 steps starting from row X down to row AA.

For low vision/deaf & hard of hearing guests, accessible seats are available in the Orchestra Row A 101-104, B 1-3, B 2-4.

There are designated wheelchair and companion seats in the rear of the Orchestra. All other seating locations require the use of stairs.

Services for Patrons With Disabilities

Theatre representatives are available to meet physically challenged theatergoers in the lobby of the building to escort them to designated wheelchair accessible areas.

Policy on Guide Dogs and Service Animals

Although animals are not permitted in the theatre, an exception is made for guide dogs and service animals. Please inform your ticket sales representative if any accommodations are required.

Assisted-Listening Devices

Headsets for sound augmentation are available at the theatre, free of charge. Guests are required to fill out a form with their name, email, and phone number to ensure the item is returned after the show. Once the item is returned, the guest’s information will be deleted so they will not be contacted after the show.

Audio Described/Captioned Performances

The Marquis provides “Audio Description For Our Patrons Who Are Blind or Partially Sighted,” a detailed account of the visual aspects of the production. The theatre also offers “I-Caption” hand-held devices that provide captioning for deaf or hard of hearing patrons.
