The Wizreturns to Broadway this spring with newcomer Nichelle Lewis taking on the role of Dorothy. Currently touring the country in The Wiz before heading to the Marquis Theatre, Lewis stopped by The View to perform the iconic tune “Home.”
The Wiz will begin performances at the Marquis Theatre on March 29, 2024, ahead of an official opening night on April 17. 2024. Tickets for the limited engagement are on sale now.
The Broadway cast will feature Nichelle Lewis as Dorothy, Deborah Cox as Glinda and Melody A. Betts as Aunt Em and Evillene, Kyle Ramar Freeman as the Lion, Phillip Johnson Richardson as the Tinman, Avery Wilson as the Scarecrow, and Wayne Brady as The Wiz.
