The 74th Annual Tony Awards Set to Air June 7, 2020

The 74th Annual Tony Awards may seem like a long ways away, but the planning that goes into the annual event starts almost immediately after the last awards ceremony concludes. The preparations for this year are no different as details emerge about cut-off dates, venue, and the date of the ceremony have been released for theatre’s night of nights, presented by the Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing.

As has become a longstanding tradition, the Tony Awards will be broadcast on CBS. The date for this year’s awards show will be June 7, 2020.

Radio City Music Hall will once again be the venue of choice for the big event. The official eligibility cut-off date for the 2019-2020 Broadway season is Thurs., April 23, 2020. All productions that meet all other eligibility requirements and open on or before the eligibility date may be considered eligible for 2019 Tony Award nominations. Nominations will be announced on Tuesday, April 28, 2020.

More details about the awards, hosts, eligible shows, etc. will be made available in the coming months and as the awards draw near.
