Tina – The Tina Turner Musical to Launch Digital Lottery

Tina – The Tina Turner Musical, readying to open at Broadway’s Lunt-Fontanne Theatre on November 7, 2019, begins previews tomorrow, Saturday, October 12, 2019. As previews get underway, producers have announced a digital lottery, making a limited number of $45 tickets available on Broadway Direct.

The lottery will open at 9AM the day of the performance, for evening performances, and 8PM the day prior to the performance for matinee performances. Matinee lotteries will close at 9AM the day of the performance, and evening lotteries will close at 1PM the day of the performance. Winners will be notified by email shortly after each drawing and have 60 minutes to claim and pay for tickets online. Tickets can be picked up 30 minutes prior to show time at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre (205 West 46th Street). Photo ID is required for pickup, seat locations and number of tickets awarded by the lottery are subject to availability. Maximum 2 tickets per entry. Please note, lottery seats may be partial view.

Based on the life story of the titular music sensation, Tina – The Tina Turner Musical stars Adrienne Warren. Joining Ms. Warren on the stage will be Daniel J. Watts, Dawnn Lewis, Nkeki Obi-Melekwe, Myra Lucretia Taylor. Also in the cast will be Steven Booth, Nick Rashad Burroughs, Gerald Caesar, Holli’ Conway, Kayla Davion, Leandra Ellis-Gaston, Charlie Franklin, Judith Franklin, Matthew Griffin, Sheldon Henry, David Jennings, Ross Lekites, Robert Lenzi, Gloria Manning, Rob Marnell, Mehret Marsh, Jhardon DiShon Milton, Destinee Rea, Mars Rucker, Jessica Rush, Justin Schuman, Alyssa Shorte, Carla Stewart, Jayden Theophile, Skye Dakota Turner, Antonio Watson and Katie Webber.

Under the direction of  Phyllida Lloyd, Tina – The Tina Turner Musical comes to life to tell us the story of one of the legends of the music industry. Enjoying a hit run in London before traversing the Atlantic to come to Broadway, the jukebox musical is written by Katori Hall with Frank Ketelaar and Kees Prins and features many of the songs that made Tina Turner a superstar. Choreography is by Anthony van Laast, with set and costume designs by Mark Thompson, musical supervision, additional music and arrangements by Nicholas Skilbeck.
