Six-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald is starring in the revival of Gypsy alongside Danny Burstein and Joy Woods. The trio stopped by The Kelly Clarkson Show to share “Together, Wherever We Go” from the iconic revival.
Gypsy is a renowned Broadway musical based on the memoirs of legendary burlesque artist and stripper Gypsy Rose Lee. It tells the story of a stage mom, Rose, in the 1920s and ‘30s seeking stardom with her two daughters, June and Louise. Relationships strain and the highs and lows of stardom are revealed as they navigate the vaudeville and burlesque circuits. Mother Rose is forced to reconcile her own dreams of fame with her daughters’ desires for anonymity in this story of sacrifice, ambition, and family relationships within the entertainment world.
