Watch Now: Billy Crystal Talks Mr. Saturday Night on The Tonight Show

Billy Crystal is coming back to Broadway, making his musical debut in Mr. Saturday Night. The nine-time Oscar host, six-time Emmy winner, two-time Grammy nominee, and the Tony-winning star of the smash one-man play 700 Sundays stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to talk about bringing Mr. Saturday Night to Broadway, receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2022 Critics Choice Awards, and how he turned down Mel Brooks’ offer to star in The Producers.

Crystal stars in Mr. Saturday Night, the story of Buddy Young, Jr., an outrageous and outspoken comedian who found fame, in the early days of television! Now, some 40 years after he hit the top, Buddy will take one last shot at finding fame, fixing his family, and forcing his way into the spotlight – one hilarious step at a time. This brand new musical comedy about being a funny man, a family man, and getting a second chance at both arrives March 29 at the Nederlander Theatre.
