Watch Now: Into the Woods Star Sara Bareilles on the New Broadway Revival

Grammy Award winner and Tony Award nominee Sara Bareilles is back on Broadway starring as the Baker’s Wife in the revival of Stephen Sondheim’s musical classic Into the Woods, opening for a limited engagement at the St. James Theatre. Bareilles stopped by CBS Mornings to chat about the fast rehearsal process for the revival, being part of the first Sondheim Broadway production since his passing, and the differences between doing Into the Woods versus her previous Broadway venture, Waitress.

New York City Center Encores! production of James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim’s beloved musical, Into the Woods, began Tuesday, June 28 at the St. James Theatre, ahead of an official opening night on July 10. Into the Woods is directed by Lear deBessonet, with music direction by Rob Berman with The Encores! Orchestra, and choreographed by Lorin Latarro. This production is dedicated to the memory of Stephen Sondheim.
