Jonathan Groff received a 2024 Tony Award nomination on Tuesday, April 30, for his performance in the Broadway revival of Merrily We Roll Along. The now three-time Tony nominee stopped by Late Night with Seth Meyers to discuss the honor of this nomination and why he keeps crying over it.

Directed by Olivier Award winner Maria Friedman, Merrily We Roll Along features music & lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, a book by George Furth, and is based on the original play by George S. Kaufman & Moss Hart.

In addition to Groff, the cast of Merrily We Roll Along includes 2024 Tony Award nominees Daniel Radcliffe and Lindsay Mendez, along with Krystal Joy Brown, Katie Rose Clarke, and Reg Rogers. The revival is slated to end its extended run on July 7, 2024.
