Watch Now: The Cast of Broadway’s Company Performs on GMA

Bobbie baby said good morning to America today as Company made an appearance on the popular morning show fresh off the show’s December 9 opening at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre. Led by Tony Award winner Katrina Lenk, the cast performed the title song from the Stephen Sondheim score. Check out the company’s performance on Good Morning America.

The Broadway revival of Company stars Tony Award winners Katrina Lenk and Patti LuPone as Bobbie and Joanne, respectively. The pair are joined by Matt Doyle as Jamie, Tony nominee Christopher Fitzgerald as David, Tony nominee Christopher Sieber as Harry, Tony nominee Jennifer Simard as Sarah, Terence Archie as Larry, Etai Benson as Paul, Nikki Renée Daniels as Jenny, Claybourne Elder as Andy, Greg Hildreth as Peter, Rashidra Scott as Susan, Bobby Conte as P.J., and Manu Narayan as Theo.

The musical comedy Company, written by Stephen Sondheim and George Furth in 1970, was re-conceived by director Marianne Elliot for a critically acclaimed run in London that transferred to Broadway. The big change in this production is that Bobby, the lead character, is played by a woman, Bobbie. At Bobbie’s (Katrina Lenk) 35th birthday party, all her friends are wondering why isn’t she married? Why can’t she find the right man? And, why can’t she settle down and have a family? This whip-smart musical comedy, given a game-changing makeover for a modern-day Manhattan, features some of Sondheim’s best-loved songs, including “Company,” “You Could Drive a Person Crazy,” “The Ladies Who Lunch,” “Side by Side,” and the iconic “Being Alive.”
