Andrew Lloyd Webber to Offer Live Commentary During Cats YouTube Stream

Attention Andrew Lloyd Webber and Cats fans! Not only will his YouTube channel, The Shows Must Go On, be streaming Cats this Friday, but Andrew Lloyd Webber himself will be offering live commentary throughout the broadcast.

Lloyd Webber announced that this would be the final installment of The Shows Must Go On streaming series and that his commentary will honor both the merits of Cats, as well as his own beloved cat, Mika, who recently passed.

The Shows Must Go On YouTube channel will offer fans two streaming options to view Cats: the regular broadcast and the broadcast with Andrew Lloyd Webber providing personal insights and memories of the creation of Cats which has become a worldwide musical phenomenon.

Lloyd Webber’s live commentary will begin Friday, May 15 at 2:00 PM (EDT). Fans can submit questions to him via Twitter using #ALWCats.

Cats will be the seventh and final installment of The Show Must Go On web series, following Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor DreamcoatJesus Christ SuperstarThe Phantom of the Opera, Love Never DiesAndrew Lloyd Webber — The Royal Albert Hall Celebration, and most recently, By Jeeves. Each broadcast had raised vital funds for The Actors Fund in order to help support those impacted by the COVID-19 crisis.
