Love Never Dies

Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Love Never Dies Up Next on The Shows Must Go On

With The Phantom of the Opera having streamed this past Friday on Andrew Lloyd Webber’s new YouTube series, The Shows Must Go On, what better way to follow up this iconic musical than with its haunting sequel, Love Never Dies.

Last Friday, April 17, The Shows Must Go On aired a fan-favorite, the Andrew Lloyd Webber classic, The Phantom of the Opera. This 2011 production, recorded for the 25th anniversary of Phantom’s original 1986 opening on Broadway, was performed at the Royal Albert Hall in London and starred Ramin Karimloo as the Phantom and Sierra Boggess as Christine.

This week, The Shows Must Go On will be following up this production and continuing the iconic saga with Andrew Lloyd Webber’s lesser-known sequel to The Phantom of the Opera, Love Never Dies. This story picks up 10 years after the final events of The Phantom of the Opera, and tells the story of Phantom and Christine’s new lives, and how they ultimately reconnect. This 2012 film production stars Ben Lewis and Anna O’Byrne as the Phantom and Christine, respectively. The show will air this Friday, April 24, at 2 PM (EDT) and will remain accessible for 48 hours.

Loves Never Dies will be the fourth installment of The Shows Must Go On web series, following Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Jesus Christ Superstar, and most recently, The Phantom of the Opera.
