Be More Chill Among Broadway in Bryant Park Offerings This Week

It’s an exciting week at Broadway in Bryant Park, with a lineup that includes the recently opened Off-Broadway production of Be More Chill scheduled. The musical, which has proven to be a fan favorite particularly amongst teen audiences, recently opened to enthusiastic reviews. Also on the bill, Broadway’s newest musical Gettin’ The Band Back Together will be on-hand to provide some fun. The Tony-winning revival of the Lynn Ahrens/Stephen Flaherty musical Once On This Island will dazzle audiences with some of its Caribbean-flavored score. School of Rock, which will conclude its high-energy Broadway run in January, rounds out this week’s offerings.

This Thursday, August 16th, is the final installment of this summer’s Broadway in Bryant Park series. Audiences should begin arriving on the lawn of Bryant Park at 11:30 AM. At 12:00, there will be cast photos and interviews, followed by the concert at 12:30. This week’s performance is hosted by 106.7 LIFE FM’s Delilah, co-hosted by Catherine Russell and the cast of Perfect Crime. Pre-show entertainment will be provided by Brooke Shapiro and Jordan Smith.

Broadway in Bryant Park is a highly anticipated, annual lunchtime theatre summer series.
