The inaugural season of Broadway Buskers, a series of concerts with Broadway actors and composers, is proving to be a popular program in the Theatre District. The concerts, which take place on Tuesday evenings from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., will continue through July on the Broadway Plaza between 42nd and 43rd Streets, Sponsored by The Times Square Alliance and hosted by Ben Cameron (the host of Broadway Sessions), Broadway Buskers offers free music to the passersby in one of New York’s most iconic settings.

MARCUS PAUL JAMES
Marcus Paul James has appeared on Broadway in Rent, In the Heights, and Motown the Musical. This Brooklyn-born singer has crafted a sound all his own. Being the son of a DJ and a Baptist church family, his music shines as the perfect balance of soul, R&B, and popular music. A true singer/songwriter whose lyrics and music take your heart and ears to a place few artists do.

LAUREN ELDER
Lauren Elder has appeared on Broadway in the revivals of Side Show and Hair. Sweet love songs, heartbreaking melodies, and world-class whistling meet influences of jazz, folk, and pop for a unique whimsical sound on her debut album of original music.

NICK BLAEMIRE
Nick Blaemire is the composer/lyricist of Broadway’s Glory Days and has performed on Broadway in Godspell and Cry Baby. He is the frontman of Nick Blaemire and The Hustle. Born out of the suburban living room record players of the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s, The Hustle is an amalgam of funk, soul, rock, and R&B that celebrates the old in the new, and looks the word “pop” right in the eye.
Host Ben Cameron is the Mainstage host for BroadwayCon, as well as the creator and host for the long-running NYC staple Broadway Sessions. He is the creator and host of the worldwide hit podcast talk show The Broadway Cast and the web series Dance Captain Dance Attack. Ben, your Broadway Buddy, hosts countless events within the Broadway community for organizations like Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, NYMF, and Rockers on Broadway, and is a frequent face on PBS WNET.
