Jagged Little Pill has found a Broadway home.
The new original musical, set to the songs of Alanis Morissette, will open this fall at the Broadhurst Theatre. Performances will begin on Sunday, November 3 before officially opening on December 5, the producers announced on Friday. Tickets go on sale to the general public May 23.
Directed by Tony-winner Diane Paulus with an original story by “Juno” writer Diablo Cody, Jagged Little Pill made its world premiere at the American Repertory Theater in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 2018. The cast then was lead by Elizabeth Stanley, Sean Allan Krill, Celia Gooding, Derek Klena, and Lauren Patten. Casting for the Broadway engagement will be announced at a later date.
Inspired by the themes set for in Morissette’s album of the same name, Jagged Little Pill follows the seemingly perfect Healy family as they struggle to choose between keeping up their perfect facade or facing the hard truths about themselves that lie beneath the surface.
Jagged Little Pill is produced by Vivek J. Tiwary, Arvind Ethan David, and Eva Price.
