The Elephant Man’s Starry Opening Night

Two-time Academy Award nominee Bradley Cooper, Academy Award nominee and Emmy Award winner Patricia Clarkson and Alessandro Nivola opened last night on Broadway in Bernard Pomerance’s Tony Award-winning classic The Elephant Man. Directed by Tony nominee Scott Ellis, the production is in a limited run through Sunday, February 15 only at the Booth Theatre (222 West 45th Street).
The star studded opening night guests included Emily Blunt, Rose Byrne, Bobby Cannavale, Glenn Close, Hilary Duff, James Franco, Jon Hamm, John Krasinski, John Leguizamo, James Lipton, Alyssa Milano, Danny Masterson, Natalie Morales, Emily Mortimer, Edward Norton, Mary-Louise Parker, Emma Stone, Suki Waterhouse, Jennifer Westfeldt, Ruth Wilson and Anna Wintour.

Following the performance, the cast, creative team and guests made their way to New York’s beautiful Gotham Hall located at 1356 Broadway. The party was was sponsored in part by Brooks Brothers and Hendrick’s Gin.

Since beginning performances on Broadway, The Elephant Man has seen strong box office sales, breaking the theatre’s house record grossing $966,896 in the week ending November 16.
