It was recently announced that Tony Award nominee Brody Grant, Broadway’s original Ponyboy Curtis in The Outsiders, would play his final performance soon, and we now know the new Ponyboy!
Original Broadway cast member Trevor Wayne will step into the lead role beginning Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre. Grant will play his final performance in the role on Sunday, September 21. Tickets are on sale now.
In addition, Brent Comer, who originated the role of Darrel Curtis, will take a leave of absence from Tuesday, September 9 to Sunday, November 9 for a previously announced project. During this time, the role of Darrel Curtis will be played by Dan Berry, while the role of Paul will be played by Victor Carrillo Tracey.
The Outsiders features a book by Tony Award nominee Adam Rapp with Tony Award winner Justin Levine, music and lyrics by Tony Award nominees Jamestown Revival (Jonathan Clay & Zach Chance) and Justin Levine, music supervision, orchestration & arrangements by Justin Levine, choreography by Tony Award nominees Rick Kuperman & Jeff Kuperman and is directed by Tony Award winner Danya Taymor.
