#ThrowBackThursday – The Will Rogers Follies

  • The Will Rogers Follies opened at the Palace Theatre on May 1st, 1991.
  • Directed and choreographed by Tommy Tune, the showed starred Keith Carradine, Dee Hoty, Dick Latessa, and Cady Huffman.
  • The show ran for nearly 1,000 performances and was nominated for 11 Tony Awards, winning six, including Best Musical.
  • It tells the story of vaudeville performer Will Rogers, who appeared in the Ziegfeld Follies 5 times.
