Broadway in Bryant Park Returns This Summer

How does one reconcile their love of Broadway musicals with the need to soak up as much sun as possible during these glorious days of summer? Broadway in Bryant Park has the answer to both of these needs. The summer series Broadway in Bryant Park continues its tradition again this year, offerings free concerts featuring some of Broadway’s best performers from the Great White Way and off-Broadway.

Thursday, July 12, 12:30pm–1:30pm

On this day, audiences will enjoy performances from the long-running, blockbuster-hit Chicago, this season’s musical comedy darling SpongeBob SquarePants: The Musical, Off-Broadways troupe of percussive performers Stomp, and fan-favorite Waitress. The concert will be led by 106.7 LITE FM host Helen Little with Catherine Russell and the cast of Off-Broadway’s Perfect Crime as co-hosts.

Thursday, July 19, 12:30pm–1:30pm

Thursday, July 19 finds 106.7 LITE FM host Rich Kaminski at the helm of the day’s events, with Renée Taylor from My Life on a Diet serving as co-host. Pre-show entertainment will be provided by Brooke Shapiro, with musical numbers from Broadway’s Anastasia and Beautiful, as well as Off-Broadway’s Desperate Measures and On A Clear Day You Can See Foreverheadlining the show.

Thursday, July 26, 12:30pm–1:30pm

The cast of Broadway’s The Play That Goes Wrong will be on-hand to co-host with 106.7 LITE FM hosts: Bob Bronson and Christine Nagy who will usher in the day’s offerings. On tap for the day: musical numbers from Broadway’s Come From Away, Kinky Boots, and The Band’s Visit, as well as Off-Broadway’s FRIENDS! The Musical Parody.

Thursday, August 2, 12:30pm–1:30pm

The final installment of the 2018 Broadway in Bryant Park series will feature 106.7 LITE FM’s Delilah as host. The entertainment for the day is Disney-inspired, featuring performances from three Disney-produced hits: Aladdin, Frozenand The Lion King.

Broadway in Bryant Park concerts are held on the lawn in Bryant Park and they are free to everyone.
