The Jimmy Awards: Where Are They Now? Meet the Alumni Now on Broadway

The Jimmy Awards recognizes some of the best high school musical-theater talent in the country. For 15 years, the award show has helped jump-start the careers of teenagers who have since grown into notable Broadway stars. Here’s a look, in alphabetical order, of the Jimmy Awards alumni you can currently see on Broadway.

Jack Cahill-Lemme

Jack Cahill-Lemme is a swing in Moulin Rouge! The Musical on Broadway. The 2016 nominee was featured in the Jimmy Awards character medley section with a song from Big Fish.


Sofia Deler

Sofia Deler is understudying Holly in Stereophonic on Broadway. The 2017 Jimmy Award winner was featured in the character medley section singing from Songs From a New World. As a finalist, she sang “She Used to Be Mine” from Waitress. She also starred as Shelby in Netflix’s The Prom.

Tyler James Eisenreich

Tyler James Eisenreich just wrapped up his run in the ensemble and Tommy’s understudy in The Who’s TOMMY on Broadway, which closed on Sunday, July 21. He was also in Moulin Rouge! The Musical and West Side Story on Broadway. The 2012 nominee was part of the Jimmy Awards character medley section as Jimmy from Thoroughly Modern Millie.

Andrew Barth Feldman

While technically Off-Broadway, another Jimmy alum you can currently see on a New York stage is Andrew Barth Feldman. Now starring as Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors, the 2018 Jimmy Awards winner, who performed “I Love Betsy” for his solo finalist performance, was previously seen on Broadway as the titular role in Dear Evan Hansen and on the big screen in No Hard Feelings opposite Jennifer Lawrence.

Maggie Kuntz

Maggie Kuntz is currently in the ensemble and an understudy to Cherry and Maria in The Outsiders on Broadway. In 2017, the nominee sang from Curtains (in the same grouping as Sofia Deler) in the character medley section. In 2018, Kuntz was nominated again, this time performing in the character medley section as Dolly Levi in Hello, Dolly!

Casey Likes

Likes is currently headlining Broadway as Marty McFly in Back to the Future: The Musical  on Broadway. He also starred as William Miller in Almost Famous on Broadway. He was a 2019 finalist who was part of the character medley section, singing from Les Misérables, and “Santa Fe” from Newsies.

Adam J. Levy

Adam J. Levy is a swing in Moulin Rouge! on Broadway. The 2012 nominee was part of the character medley section performing “Empty Chairs at Empty Tables” from Les Misérables.

Mark Mitrano

Mark Mitrano was just seen in the ensemble of The Who’s TOMMY, serving also as an understudy for Tommy and Cousin Kevin. Mitrano participated at the Jimmy Awards in 2016 and again in 2018. In 2016, he was part of the character medley, performing as Jimmy Smith in Thoroughly Modern Millie. In 2018, he sang from Hunchback of Notre Dame in the same grouping as winner Andrew Barth Feldman.


Tony Moreno

Tony Moreno is a swing in The Book of Mormon on Broadway. He participated in the Jimmy Awards for two consecutive years. In 2016, the nominee was part of the character medley, singing from The Last Five Years, and was in the same grouping as Jack Cahill-Lemme. In 2017, Moreno, who won alongside Sofia Deler, was part of the character medley group, singing from Man of La Mancha followed by “Disappear” from The Burnt Part Boys.

Ramone Nelson

Ramone Nelson is currently a swing in MJ on Broadway. The 2017 nominee was part of the group tribute to James M. Nederlander.

Eva Noblezada

Eva Noblezada is currently starring as Daisy in The Great Gatsby on Broadway. She previously starred in Hadestown, originating the role of Eurydice. It marked her second Tony Award nomination, earning her first for her role as Kim in the revival of Miss Saigon. Noblezada was a Jimmy Award finalist in 2013. She sang “With You” from Ghost in her solo performance and played Ariel from Footloose during the character medley.

Sayo Oni

Sayo Oni is currently in Hadestown on Broadway. At the 2019 Jimmy Awards, he was part of the character medley as Drew from Rock of Ages.

Jake Pedersen

Jake Pedersen is currently starring as Boq in Wicked on Broadway. He previously was seen as Frankie Epps in the 2023 Broadway revival of Parade. Pedersen, a 2017 nominee, performed in the character medley as Joseph from Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. He was in the same grouping as Tony Moreno.


Josh Strobl

Josh Strobl is understudying Ponyboy and Johnny in The Outsiders on Broadway. He also understudied Evan/Jared/Connor in Dear Evan Hansen. In 2016, he won the Jimmy Awards, performing “Maria” from West Side Story as his solo finalist performance. Strobl also portrayed Link Larkin from Hairspray during the character medley section. He was in the same grouping as Mark Mitrano.
