Tips & Tricks for Getting to Broadway Theatres

Arrival time: Plan to get to the theatre around 30 minutes early, so you can go through bag checks, find your seat, and settle in without stress. If you need to pick up tickets at the box office, arrive at least 45 minutes early.
What to Bring: It is recommended to pack light in small bags as large bags may be searched or not allowed at all. Be sure you have no outside food or drinks as they are not allowed.
Dress Etiquette: Broadway theatres do not have a strict dress code. Oftentimes theatres may be kept cold, so make sure to bring layers! Check out our full guide guide on what to wear at this link here.
Inside the theatre: Theatre lobbies are often small, so lines for restrooms and concessions can get long. It’s best to use the restroom before the show rather than waiting until intermission. If you need help finding your seat, ushers are always happy to point you in the right direction.
